What My Mother Means to Me

When I was a little boy, I honestly thought my mother was my “woman”. I didn’t want anyone else talking to her, nor did I want her spending time on anyone else. But that changed once she gave birth to my little sister, and I had to get adjust to not being “the only man” in her life besides my father. The older I get, the more I realize that this woman has molded me into who I am today, a REAL man. She is strong, extremely intelligent and has a beautiful spirit and her honesty and unconditional love keeps me grounded. I find myself blessed to have a woman in my life who would give up anything for my sister and I. Even though she can be overbearing and over analytical, I can clearly look past that because she is the person who loves me for me and doesn’t judge me for anything I do or have done. It doesn’t mean she agrees with everything, but she respects who I am and what I do. She is my protector, my motivation, my best friend, my counselor--- but ultimately, she’s my mother! And I love her… HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
