When we left Part II, Golden Infamous was telling us about marketing herself as Golden Infamous da Corporation and she touched on the importance of supporting others. In this conclusion, she gives an example of how supporting someone opened up doors for her and offers final wisdom on believing in yourself.

GIdA: Networking is a big deal. Like, one time I went to this hip-hop show and the guy who was doing the show said he really wanted me to come. Something was wrong and I didn’t want to go…I think I was sick, and I said, “I’m gonna try to come anyway. I do want to support you.” So, I bought my $10 ticket, came to the show, sat in the front row, and he was so excited to see me that he asked me to open up the show. He said, “Do a poem!” I’m like, “Do a poem?! I’m here to spectate. I’m a spectator.” He was like, “No! Do poem. Open up the show.” So, I ended up opening the show and I just went there to support him…So, supporting people goes a long way.”
“…Don’t let anybody tell you what you can and can’t do. Set your own standards and only go by those standards.”
Ccep: I believe everything you do brings you One Step Closer to fulfilling your purpose. That’s my motto for this year: One Step Closer. What are you One Step Closer to?
GIdA: That’s a good motto…I am One Step Closer to finishing my second novel. It’s taken me a long time…I’m also One Step Closer to having another show ‘cause I just made plans this morning to have another show in April—no, May.
Ccep: Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about Golden Infamous da Corporation?
GIdA: Yeah…Golden Infamous da Corporation wants everybody to know that there is not anything in this world that you cannot do or that you cannot attain in either waiting for it or working for it. That’s all it is…Either you’re gonna wait for something to happen for you and it’s gonna happen eventually or you’re gonna work for something to happen to you and it’s gonna happen eventually. But, either way, anything in this world is attainable because everything that I’ve done people have told me that I could not do it. When I first said I wanted to be a poet, people looked at me like I was crazy and said, “There’s no money in poetry.” When I first said I wanted to do fashion shows, people looked at me like I was crazy and said, “You don’t just do that.” When I said I wanted to write a book, people said, “You don’t just write books.” People constantly said that! Relatives were like, “You don’t just write a book,” and everything that I’ve done—now they look at me and they’re like, “Wow! She’s really doing it.” So, don’t let anybody tell you what you can and can’t do. Set your own standards and only go by those standards.”
Ccep: That’s real.
