How Will I Survive Without My Gadgets?

I’ll be honest. I can’t live without my cell phone. I’m not one to spend hours chatting or texting, but my cell phone is a necessity because I am a Navy wife. When my husband is out to sea, my phone keeps us connected. From his computer, he sends emails to my phone, and I in turn, send “text-mails” back to his email account. I’m lucky that he can find ways to call and message me as often as he does and my phone is what helps keep our communication open. It also had a camera on it, so I can send him pictures as often as I want.

I thrive on music, especially when I’m upset or at work. With my iPod, I listen to my favorite songs to keep me energized, hear words from my favorite poets, and even watch movies. I can hook it up in my car or listen to it while I’m shopping. Sites such as video.google.com allow me to download videos to watch. You can usually find my iPod on my left hip because my phone lives on my right hip.

My business gadgets are my palm pilot and my laptop. With a growing schedule, my palm pilot is like an electronic secretary that keeps track of my appointments and upcoming birthdays. I can keep notes with appointments that tell me what to bring or what is expected for said event and reminder alarms ring when it is time for me to get ready to go. I primarily use my laptop to email, research, and write. I love using a pen and pad, but it’s so much quicker to just tap those keys!

There are other gadgets that I use, but my phone, iPod, palm pilot, and laptop help make live easier everyday.
