My Favorite Gadget
By: K.D. Perry
Call me silly, but with as much traffic there is in Los Angeles, last year I purchased a MAGELLAN CROSSOVERGPS - North America (2500T). This little handheld gadget Goes with me virtually everywhere. Los Angeles is so huge and there are so many alternate routes to get where you need to go, my Magellan serves its purpose. I would not be able to live without it because I travel a lot to places I’ve never been. I’ve only been in Los Angeles 2 years this July and I’m still discovering new places everyday. Being I don’t have a vehicle anymore my mom has found a way to pertinently borrow my GPS. LOL! So I must buy another one because the Thomas guide is way to confusing and not good while on the road. Just imagine turn by turn directions in the comfort of your own car. Now imagine being in a rental in a city you aren’t familiar with. Having my GPS with me, I can still feel comfortable and confident in the foreign car.
As many know, most men hate to ask strangers for directions and they want people to think they know where they are and where they are going. Well, I am one of those men. When I travel to unfamiliar places in Southern California I now look like a tourist. Magellan GPS systems are my absolute survival solutions for big city navigation. I recently decided to purchase next week the MAGELLAN TRITON - North America (2000). This one is a handheld GPS so now I can take it with me everywhere and its more compact than the CROSSOVER. It will cost me $100 more than the other but This one a 2 mega pixel camera, flash light, and a voice recorder. Now that’s a deal! I’d like to see my mom get her hands on this one! LOL!
