To ask a techno-geek to name his or her favorite gadget is a blasphemous thing to do, but someone dared to ask. So, after careful thought, I have narrowed it down to my Apple Mac Book and my Palm Treo 755. Although I’m an Internet junkie and my new laptop is ultra lightweight, compared to my old Dell Inspiron 1100, I have to say that my Treo is swiftly taking the lead.
I would have never thought that those words would have fallen from the lips of a former “crackberry” addict, but they did. I was truly in love with my Blackberry and was a dedicated Blackberry “thumber” for over 2 years, but the lack of a camera and word processor software forced me to explore other options.
Enter the palm Treo 755. Although, it is a tad bit heavier than my Blackberry, I have fallen in love with its ample features and tons of software. I actually have Microsoft word on this handheld device, which is a great tool for any writer! Not only can I surf the Internet, but I also have my email delivered directly to my phone. The email service isn’t as streamline as Blackberry’s push technology but it serves it’s purpose. I also have the pleasure of capturing those impromptu “Kodak moments” with the built in 1.3-mega-pixel camera.
So, with all of that said, my new favorite gadget for the moment is the Palm Treo 755. I’m still learning about all of the great features and software, the newest of which is, just because it rings doesn’t mean I have to answer it.
