FASHION FOR THE HOLIDAYS

As we are all aware the holidays are here and instead of telling you what you should wear for that Holiday Party, Christmas Day and New Years Eve.  I want you to tell me what you are going to wear or have worn.  I’m changing it up to get a feel of everyone’s fashion sense/style.  So instead of me dictating and giving a speech (like I tend to do) I’d rather you disclose to me your fashion desires for the holidays.  Now, don’t get me wrong I’m going to suggest some things but that’s as far as I’m going to go.

There are a few things you should keep in mind.  One, remember to be aware of your body type, make sure that your outfit compliments your body and doesn’t take away from it.  Two, remember to be aware of what colors to wear for the winter season (example:  it’s okay to wear white but make sure it’s winter white) if you don’t know what color that is it’s closer to cream and ivory.  If you decide to wear winter white add another color to it such as brown, cognac, burgundy, pretty much earth tone colors.

If you aren’t sure what color would go best with it just ask someone’s opinion.  Three, remember not to over due it with accessories, less is best especially if you are going to a holiday party and it’s a formal event you want your dress or pants suit to really be the focal point, the accessories just add some flavor.  It’s nothing worst then seeing a really lovely dress taken over by accessories, it’s a disaster.

Finally, this one is for the fellas.  Fellas, Fellas, Fellas you can look good for the holidays, too.  There is no reason why you can’t be stylish for the holidays.  I’m not saying you have to wear a suit with a tie because frankly I hate ties but I will be wearing an ensemble that includes a tie but I’m not wearing it the traditional way.  Fellas, we have also have options to choose from (example:  if you love wearing jeans not a problem just dress them up a bit with a button down shirt, a blazer and some shoes, such as a Kenneth Cole type of shoe and maybe add a hat if you are a hat type of guy like I am).  If you like to dress more upscale than I would suggest some dress slacks that are tailored to fit your body.

Fellas, this is not considered tight, I know you were thinking it.  It will actually look very chic if you get your slacks tailored, trust me on this.  Find a nice dress shirt or sweater.  If you decide to wear a dress shirt, add a very nice pair of cuff links to give it some flavor.  Don’t forget your shoes, where some with a pointed or square toe.  I know you may not be down for that but it’s just for that special event for the holidays, why not go all out.  If you are into leather I would wear a nice leather jacket as an outer garment.  Fellas, I would really try to stay away from urban wear for the holidays.  This is one time that you should really think outside the box and change it up for the holidays, if not for you than do it for that special someone.

I hope this helps everyone, I tried to cover all the bases.  So for all those women and men that are going to holiday events this year there is no reason why you can’t look stylish and sexy.  I really want to know what you are deciding to wear or what you have worn for that special event during this holiday season.

GOOD LUCK & HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM TERONCE’ STYYLES
