By Tokyo

Picture this!! You’re on an airplane looking HOT, with the new $500 Dolce & Gabanna hand bags. Some chick walks up and sits right next to you to inform you that your new purse is a fake !!! OUCH!!

Embarrassing situations happen like this everyday with unsuspecting shoppers get ripped off purchasing purses, handbags and more.

Unfortunately, if you shop online there is a high chance that you will become a victim sooner or later. How do you know for sure that the same hand bag you are about to buy isn’t a knock off?

First, the stitching. Stitching can be your dead giveaway!! Inconsistent stitching in not so obvious area like the underside of the hand bag and the inside pockets are details to look for immediately. Authentic designer bags usually tack on an extra zero to the price tag due to carefully crafted construction! If the item looks simplistic, it’s likely to be a phony!!

Second would be the material. Knock off hand bags are no longer made of PVC. They are now made of really good, leather, even lambskin. However they are seldom as good a material designers like Chanel and Gucci would use. Phony purses tend to be stiff and have some sort of discoloration. Finally, many people feel as though designer hand bags should been lined. But, on the contrary, real purses aren’t.

Your next tip to tell if your dream bag is real or fake is by the label. Look for any misspelling at all!! Also, in any quality product the name is stitched in. But, in Gucci counterfeits on the other hand, there is a cheap tag that hangs from the handle. Before purchasing, be sure to go to a designers site and compare there bag to yours.

Packaging…Designers take a great of time into packaging all there merchandise. This includes tissue, rapping paper and shopping bags. All of these minor expressions are apart of the real transaction. Look at the box or bag that your item comes in as well to make sure it’s not too big or too small and is the same brand as the purse or purchase. Creators will never cram there products in to packages that can alter the inner and outer exteriors.

And finally, the details! Everyone knows that details can make or break a dress. That goes for purses as well. The patterns of the fabric, threads, leather, and stamping makes a bag what is should be! Look to make sure the handles are of equal length, and the logo is completely fastened to the bag. The details should all consistent and the zippers are in full working order.
