Making a declaration to yourself at any point in time is always a little
tricky. Let’s face it, life is busy, complicated and ever-changing.
Distraction can be very easy and happens to the best of us and
ultimately tests our focus.
I’ll take the simple approach and say that I hope to accomplish
everything that I am meant to for 2008. God willing, that will include
purchasing a house, obtaining a new position at work and remaining true
to my friends. I want to continue to grow and learn; I just want to
pleasantly surprise myself while being comfortable in my own skin.
Sounds pretty simple but that’s the path I am trying to walk. Always
changing for the better, even when there are slip-ups, and learning to
be a man of integrity. I leave with a quote that I recently read in 2nd
Corinthians chapter 10, verse 11, “Let such a person consider this, that
what we are in word by letters when we are absent, such we will also be
in deed when we are present.”
