Ravolution 2008

On my flight to Baltimore to meet with the eXcapethematriX.com staff, I pulled out a “SkyMall” magazine and began to flip through the pages.  In between the pages of sophisticated and seemingly useless gadgets, Swedish bathrobes and heated towel racks, I came across the Successories page and a quote that nearly stopped my heart:

“Some people dream of success, while others wake-up and work hard at it.”

It was a blatant reminder of all the things I dream of having or doing that I simply haven’t put forth the effort to pursue.  Nonetheless, I realize that dwelling on mistakes of the past is a self defeating behavior and has no place in my life. Since then, this quote has come to be my Ravolution mantra for 2008.

I am cleaning house mentally, academically, career wise, physically, in my family life, and literally, cleaning my house.  I need to make way for the blessings that will surely come as a result of me putting in the work to be successful.

I believe that success is a journey and not a destination.  And I’m ready for a life-long ride!
