TIME FOR A RAVOLUTION
Charese

2006 has come and gone...already! Who’d have thunk it?  I distinctly remember 1999 transitioning into 2000 and thinking, “How in the world did today get here so fast?”  Today, as a much older (well, not much) and wiser woman, I realize that time waits for no one.  It simply moves along.  Whether I look it in the face and acknowledge it or not, it rolls on in spite of my lax attitude.  Time couldn’t care less.  In fact, it doesn’t care about me at all.  Why should it?  I’m negligent and rude and downright snobbish where it’s concerned.

This year, my Ravolution is to simply acknowledge that time is present…right here and ALWAYS now, then act on each second, if even to recognize my breathing.  I often have these moments of clarity which remind me that I simply exist.  I take that fact for granted too much.  I want to live and be mindful of it.

My motto for the past few years has been “Participate In Your Life!”  This year it will be “Practice What You Think!”  Once I acknowledge that my thoughts are indeed real and relevant, keeping me up at night, consuming my days, pressing me to pray, leveling me, I will act upon those thoughts.  It may not be a constant or mind blowing act, but an action nonetheless in some capacity.

God gave me MY thoughts for a reason.  He expects me to lean on Him so that I can have a true understanding of who I am.  Besides God, no one will ever be able to truly understand the way that I work and really know me.  I will always be the only human being that can completely tap into that space freely.  So shouldn’t I take the time to understand exactly who I am so that I may share the core of myself with others?  Hmmm…now there’s a thought.

Therefore, I share.
