“A hunch is creativity trying to tell you something.” - Frank Capra (1897-1991).
In a world that appears to be thrown off its axis and in a disharmonizing state, people who were once in search of religion are now resorting to a metaphysical healing.
Religion is more defined as an
organized faith base, whereas spirituality recognizes that there is a Higher
Power, a Supreme Being, greater than one self. Moreover, people who may
recognize God, Allah or Buddha as their Higher Power and attend church, the
Mosque or the Synagogue often refer to themselves as religious. People who do
not attend faith based organizations prefer the title of “spiritual.” They
recognize their Higher Power and pay tribute to it, but do not subscribe to a
collective organization.
“Traditional religion has us all afraid of our very natural states of
being.”
In search of “an exact science” or a verifiable method to healing, people are entrusting their minds, bodies and souls to a metaphysical healing. (i.e. astrology, tarot, Reiki and numerology for their life path.)
Referencing ancient teachings
and principles, yet unfamiliar with the historical ideology of metaphysics, I
relied on the direction of Sister Aida. She is a spiritual escort and trainer
who proves to give your mind a spiritual workout and offers to share the
teachings of the tarot and how this ancient metaphysical science can enhance your
spiritual power, as well as tone your spiritual body. Curious and taken aback by
the cards and how they interact with your spirit, I agreed to have a session to
“learn my purpose and my overall goddess.” My session began with a tarot
reading and ended with a thorough examination of my astrology chart.
“Like any art form, you study, practice, share, evolve and grow.”
Drenary:
Good Morning, Sister Aida
Sister Aida: Peace
Drenary: How did you come to practice these art forms?
Sister Aida: I have been reading and studying astrology books since I was seven years old...I had my first astrological chart interpretation in 2001. At that time the sister astrologer told me that my chart clearly indicated information that states unequivocally that I am a psychic healer. I had people tell me, total strangers even, that I should be a counselor. I always knew that I would not become a western academically trained counselor but I knew I had keen listening and perceptive abilities. Subsequent astrological interpretations of my natal chart indicated that I am an intuitive astrologer healer. One guru suggested Reiki...I researched the art and during my research, Reverend Navasha Collins emailed information regarding the Reiki class that she teaches...wow!!! I enrolled and was initiated into the Reiki order shortly thereafter...
Drenary: Was it a spiritual calling?
Sister Aida: DEFINITELY...
Drenary: What does each science heal, i.e. the mind, body, soul, provide a life guide, prevent further misdirection, etc.?
Sister Aida: All of the aforementioned.
Drenary: Are people often mislead or misguided when it comes down to these unconventional methods of healing?
Sister Aida: Traditional religion has us all afraid of our very natural states of being. Not every religion or every sect of religion but many have us thinking that the art of Reiki and other healing arts are “spookism” or devil worship...absolutely not so. Reiki, tarot and astrology are all about one's connection with self and the Divine.
Drenary: What is the art to healing?

Sister Aida: Like any art form, you study, practice, share, evolve and grow. In order to get better and better at communicating an idea or an ideal, the beauty of tarot, Reiki, astrology and tarot is the palette that creates the self portrait.
Sister Aida’s spirit was peaceful and welcoming. I marveled at her ability to recall pivotal moments in my life. She was able to connect with my spiritual self and provide clarity for my life.
Reiki, the art of healing with hands, is a spiritual massage, now being offered at day spas. Reiki imparts the basic concept of deep relaxation of the client while the client receives light energy from the Practitioner that is healing the spirit, mind and body. Reiki imparts love, peace, balance and harmony, which are all necessary components to holistic health. Generally, a Reiki session lasts 45 minutes to an hour.
