Tapping Into Your Subconscious:
The Inkblot Test
Written by: Ccep J. Dew, West Coast Editor
Hermann Rorschach, a Swiss psychologist, is credited with the creation of The Inkblot Test (also known as The Rorschach Test or The Rorschach Inkblot Test). This test uses 10 images to explore the personality, emotional response, and thought process of an individual. Although there are no wrong answers, what an individual sees in each image and how the images makes one feel may reveal deep, inner thoughts and feelings. Whether or not the test holds any practical use in the psychological field remains debatable; but it is fun to try on your own!
Below are the 10 images used in the classic Inkblot Test, although others have created their own images that you can easily find online. Take the time to look at each image.
What does it look like to you? How does it make you feel? Ask a friend, spouse or family member. Do you see the same things?
After you try all 10 images, check out the source and find out if you saw what others commonly see…
