I will eXpand with or without your assistance and acceptance.
however…
I will remember you.
every time someone tells me to not take the risk,
I’ll think of you,
every time someone says, that’s not a good idea,
I’ll think of you.
when people say to me-hey! you can’t do that,
I’ll think of you…
and I’ll thank you.
I’ll thank you for showing me how I don’t want to be,
I’ll thank you for reminding me of who I am…
and who I am not
I’ll thank you for stating so clearly, that my bold and daring nature is a quality of mine that you admire…
although you’ll never say a word…
still,
I will smile… AND… thank you.
