"All good things must come to an end"
How true is that statement…?
In-between doing this journalism/reporting/producing thing, I got the chance to write for eXcapethematriX magazine. The opportunity came and I would have been an idiot to pass on it. The year was 2007, and I was just about to enter my sophomore year of college, when I met ETM's founder, Raven. Already studying communications/ print journalism, I got word about the magazine, and thought it was a great way to get my feet wet.
Looking back, I knew nothing about writing for a magazine. But I did have a passion for writing and seriously wanted to grow in the area.
Overall, my eXperiences with eXcapethematriX.com have been positive. It has made me a better writer and helped to build character. My time with ETM was an unpaid one; this forced me to treat writing as an art form, as opposed to a way to make money.
I wouldn't trade those three years for anything. Hey, it led to working as a producer for a TV News Station and as a reporter for a Public radio station. I am well on my way thanks to time spent at eXcapethematrix magazine. - Kenneth-Michael
