Time for a
Ravolution
2006 comes to a close and we
prepare to welcome in a new year. It’s important to take in everything
that took place in this past year so you can plan wisely for the next.
For that reason my staff has written what we call our New Years
Ravolutions. A Ravolution differs from a Resolution because the latter
can honestly be completed in a small amount of time with discipline. But
where do you go once you’ve accomplished that resolution? A Ravolution
is something you work on and it will have an impact on other areas of
your life as well. A Ravolution can be a plan of action. A Ravolution
will take you from 2007 to 2008.
One of my Ravolutions is to
continue to build on the blessings I’ve received. In 2005 I was just
starting off as a journalist. As 2007 approaches I’m not only Editor in
Chief of my own magazine but I also a radio personality and also a
writer for several other magazines. I’m also a CEO of my own company. I
thank God everyday for that. I made a vow to myself that I would be free
of my 9-5 by the time I’m 30. The time is getting closer and I’m running
against the clock. In 2007 I’ll take my blessings to the next level.
Another Ravolution I have is
to help people, and I do my best to find new ways to do that all the
time. I believe very strongly in those that step outside the box. Inside
this Holiday issue you get to meet Steph Jones. I met this
brother on Myspace and had the chance to build with him and learn his
story. He’s on a mission to share his gift of music with the world….I’m
glad I could help him. Then there’s The 5th L,
two brothers I’ve known for years and am very proud of. It’s a great
feeling to give them another outlet for people to find out about their
talents. Then there’s my staff. I have the greatest staff in the world.
We’ve all come together with the common goal of waking up the masses. I
thank God that I have been able to help them tap into their journalistic
sides and realize day by day what they want out of life. I hope they
realize they’re helping me as well. I plan to continue helping people in
2007 because my mission is far from over.
What’s your Ravolution? Where
do you want to be this time next year? What will you do to change your
life? What will you put into motion and see it thru to the end? I would
love to hear from all of you. Hit up our guest list and share YOUR
Ravolutions.
BE PEACE
